Do you ever?

Do you ever let your pain bleed out

and cover the scars that you let determine your worth

Do you ever look at the numbers on the scale

and let them tell you if you’re worthy of love

Do you ever feel embarrassed in your own skin

And pretend to be someone you’re not because you fear rejection

Do you ever shy away from telling someone you need help

because you’re too scared they won’t understand

Do you ever wish you were no longer alive

because you’re out of energy from fighting the demons away

Do you ever look in the mirror and hate what looks back at you

Do you ever get so happy,

but then something brings you back to your dark place

Do you ever get scared or fearful of the future

because you think you’re not worthy of achieving

Do you ever feel so lonely, you feel hollow

Have you ever cried so much

you can’t cry anymore?

I have…

Whatever it is you feel, remember you’re never alone.

I’ve been using quotes from my comments, if anyone wants me to post a quote they love. Post it down below. Thank you patientandkindlove for this weeks quote!

Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery. JK Rowling

    Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
    love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
    Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
    are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
    the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
    are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
    in the family of things.

  2. Thank you for sharing!!… “I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together”…( Marilyn Monroe).. 🙂
